Direct Line offer a range of policies from Single, Annual and Discovery (backpacking). Direct Line benefit from have a UK only call centre if you prefer to speak to someone when booking your travel insurance.
With the benefit of extra discounts of up 20% when booking online it makes Direct Line a good deal. Especially when they offer emergency cash transfers if your wallet or purse is stolen and new-for-old replacements as standard.

Quotes are based on one adult of 35 with the following minimum cover:
Medical Cover – At least £2 million
Baggage – At least £1500
Cancellation or Curtailment – At least £3000

We have had Direct Line travel insurance for several years. The reasonable annual premium covered what we needed, including our couple of weeks skiing each year. When my wife became seriously ill, before we went to Boston, they were very efficient and paid out quickly and without fuss. The Call Centre staff were efficient and explained very clearly what we had to do. That’s what you need.
