We took out cover with this company for a weeks holiday in February. I had terrible food poisoning and was hospitalised for 2 days. Because of the cover we had taken (Bronze) we had to pay up front – however the total amount of our claim was paid with no problems and minimal amount of form filling.
Customer service was good only problem was they didn’t always call back when they said they would.

I was stranded in Israel for 1 week and I have also been told that as my flight was cancelled and not delayed?? i am not covered. Easy to sign up, good report on supermaket.com. I would avoid like the plague.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY

Was stranded in Morocco in April 2010 due to the volcanic ash cloud for 5 days. Did not receive £20 per day for delayed flight as apparently the flight was deemed to be cancelled – not delayed! Which makes a world of difference according to the terms and conditions. Very unhappy with this company and will not use again. My travelling companion used the Post Office travel insurance and received £200 compensation within 4 days of her claim. I know who I will be using next time!

Is it easy to get insurance with this company? Yes. Are you covered for the recent travel delay from the volcanic ash situation? No you are not.

I took out platinum insurance with this company for a weeks trip to Europe and my return was delayed by a week. I contacted the company and was told am not covered as the policy states that you are only covered for flight delay “provided you check in at the airport”. Ridiculous…how are you supposed to check in for a flight that is non existant? This company and its directors are clearly ripping off customers and with such poor service and overly restrictive small print. I suspect (and hope) you will not hear about insurewithease in 12 months time.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS YOU ARE NOT GETTING THE LEVEL OF COVER YOU THINK YOU ARE GETTING. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

I am one of the passengers stranded overseas because of the volcano eruption in Iceland. I have contacted the insurance company to see if i am entitled to any compensation for expenses that i have paid out – i thought that because i chose not to take the initial flight from Melbourne to Seoul because the connecting flight to London was not guaranteed and in the end was cancelled my reasoning being that i had accommodation in Melbourne but none in Seoul and so would have to make an even bigger claim to the insurance company unnecessarily (accommodation in Melbourne is free as we’re staying with family), i thought they would at least pay out for smaller expenses because of the delay in getting a new flight all the way back to London…. No chance! They have told me that i can not claim in these circumstances! I will not be taking out insurance with them again – i have an annual policy but will be looking elsewhere to renew. I have heard that another major insurance company will be covering their customers for all expenses so i am going to try and find out who they are and take up a policy with them next time i travel.

We bought an annual worldwide family policy from insurewithease mainly because they were the cheapest result froma comparison website. We have been fortunate in the past that we’ve never needed to claim our travel insurance policies therefore the amount of cover is not really something we take too much notice of. The level of cover on the bronze package we purchased was more than adequate. On our recent trip to the Dominican Republic we were delayed nearly 24 hours leaving Manchester because of the bad snow. Whilst in resort my partner slipped down some stairs injuring his back. He ended up in hospital for the day and we had a treatment bill of 1200 USD. On our return to the UK I printed off the claim forms – 1 for the delay and 1 for the hospital treatment and completed them before sending with the necessary documentation. I sent the paperwork recorded delivery on the Wednesday evening. On Saturday morning I received a letter from insurewithease stating that the claims had been settled and that the money had been paid by BACS into my bank account and should arrive within 5 days. By Monday morning the funds were available in my account. I was totally astounded! Overall I cannot fault this company at all. I would say to anyone please don’t let the cheap price put you off. We were certainly not disappointed and if they are as cheap again next year we will certainly take out another policy with insurewithease

took out insurance when we booked a holiday at the beggining of october to fly to portugal on the 20th december, due to weather conditions our flight was canclled 1/2hr before we were due to fly ,we went through all necessary channels ,obtained letters and so forth to claim for accomodation and transfers as the airline have agreed to refund the costs of the flight. this morning recieved a letter from the insurers refusing to pay out on our claim ,because they say wer’e not covered for adverse weather conditions ,NOWHERE on the policy does it say this ,it does however state”ANY EXPENCES ARISING FROM CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH COULD REASONABLY HAVE BEEN ANTICIPATED AT THE TIME YOU BOOKEDYOUR TRIP” are not covered ????? .I tried to phone the offices to speak to someone……. due to adverse weather conditions the office was closed today,,,, i wonder if they knew this would happen back in october. I will be taking this further .

    DO NOT USE!

I went to the Philippines for 2 weeks in November. On my way back my first flight was cancelled and I was unable to get a seat on any other plane so I missed my next 2 connections. I was forced to take the next available flight 24 hours later. I had to pay for a hotel for the night and also to change my next 2 connections and my bus home from Gatwick, this was about £200. I paid £50 for the insurance and they have offered me £30!

Upon arrival my baggage was 24 hours late. I only had what I was standing in and a few other things so I had to buy some extra items for the excursion the next day. If I hadn’t gone on the excursion I would have had to claim for that instead. However, they still wouldn’t give me anything for the few items I had to buy to keep me going.

DO NOT USE! They try everything to get out of paying.

Very quick and easy to get the insurance and also one of the cheapest I checked out. Never had to claim but felt confident that I was covered if anything happened.
