I used them for a big trip last year round south east asia and although I didn’t have to make a claim to did feel secure that I should be covered from some of the adventure sports I did as they cover them by standard and I also paid a little extra to make sure my laptop would be covered to its full value which I think is a good little extra that they offer.

World Nomads would have to be the easiest insurance policy I’ve ever bought online. The site is really easy to use and the amount of activities they cover is amazing (skiing, bungy jumping, white water rafting to mention a few).
The ability to purchase whilst away from home is really excellent, and the fact that if you want to stay away longer that you can extend, well I don’t know any other company that allows that.
The free SMS travel alerts are really handy and the travel blogs are excellent.
All-in-All, a company that understands the traveller, and a site that makes buying travel insurance simple.

My wife developed complications during her pregnancy while abroad and covered with World Nomads travel insurance (met their guidelines for coverage). World Nomads provided a guarantee to a hospital when she was hospitalized over night resulting in direct compensation. They also covered all prescriptions and other related medical charges ($1,800) and processed the claim within days after receiving all the documentation. I would recommend copying all receipts in case there is any issues. We were very satisfied with the results of our claim after wondering if we would be out in the dark when we did need them. World Nomads came through with their insurance in a very timely fashion! Will definitely buy again.

Nomads offfered comprehensive cover at a reasonable price. They offered the ability to extend cover and include extras! It seems reliable and i would recommend it to others!

I have taken out three policies with World Nomads over the last two years and would not hesitate to go with them again for a fourth term. Being a Brit, I was initially concerned about choosing an insurance company based in Australia – mainly because of the time difference and cost of calls in event of a problem claiming – but everything was handled online. They even accepted scanned copies of my proof of purchases/receipts/bills. Highly recommended. Based in Australia although they have offices in the UK and the US too.

Used them last year. Was very easy to extend my cover as I decided to travel for an extra 3 months.

I have used World Nomads twice now and have always been fairly cheap and have covered me when things have gone wrong.
