I was recently delayed for 9 days getting home by the volcano eruption in Iceland.
I hold an annual policy with etravelinsurance.co.uk
When I rang to a make a claim for my delay, I was told that they were not paying claims for anything to do with the Volcano incident. They would not give any further reason despite my asking.
It makes you wonder why anyone bothers with travel insurance! Needless to say I will not be renewing my policy.
