Single trip or annual multi-trip cover?
If you go away more than once a year, Premier annual multi-trip cover is the best value – and it includes Independent Traveller cover.
Premier or Standard?
Premier cover policies have the most generous cover limits. They also allow you to travel for longer, and offer benefits like our Personal Travel Assistant service. Standard cover is cheaper, but the cover limits aren’t as high as Premier, and you don’t get all the benefits.
Medical expenses
If you’re ill or have an accident, your medical expenses are covered up to £10 million with Premier cover.
Cancellation or curtailment
There are many reasons why a trip may be cancelled or cut short – bad weather, natural disaster, strikes, illness or injury. With our Premier and Standard policies, you can claim compensation for irrecoverable costs if your trip is affected (up to £6,000 with Premier Cover).
Independent Traveller cover
Many travel insurance policies don’t cover cancellation due to British Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice, insolvency of airlines or denial of boarding which is important cover if you’ve booked flights and accommodation separately (rather than through a tour operator) as you may not be covered by your tour operator either . Independent Traveller covers them all – and is included automatically with our Premier annual multi-trip cover.
